Who I am
I am a wife, first time mom, cat owner, daughter, friend.
I am a second generation Asian American who had struggled for many years with self-worth and relationships until I began my own therapy journey in 2016. After facing myself, learning about what was important to me, healing past wounds, and making peace with who I wanted to become outside of cultural expectations, I have emerged with a passion and fervor to help others in the same way therapy has helped me.
I believe our therapeutic relationship plays an integral part of your healing which is why it is important for me to show up authentically. I am not your blank slate therapist, and I will show emotion, and share (when appropriate). I also use humor when appropriate. Together, I hope this authenticity allows for a safe space for you to be authentically yourself as well.
With a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy along with a background in English and literature, I strive to help you paint a clear picture of your thoughts, perspectives, and wisdom. I also strive to create an inclusive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel free to share your beliefs, worries, experiences, and fears without hesitation. Together, we can collaborate on healing and building the life and person you want to become.
